Dallas Real Estate Photography

Hey, I'm Trey with Bywaters Media. I'm based up in Plano, and Dallas is a short drive down US-75 or the Tollway. I shoot every listing myself, so the person you book is the person who shows up.
Dallas isn't one market. It's a dozen neighborhoods with their own architecture, and the photos need to match. In the M Streets (Greenland Hills), the 1920s Tudor cottages are all about the steep rooflines, arched doorways and original details. I shoot the front elevation straight on so the Tudor lines stay true. In Lakewood, near White Rock Lake, you'll find a mix of early 20th-century architectural styles on established, tree-lined lots, and a drone shot that shows how close the lake is does a lot of work. Preston Hollow is estate country: large lots, long driveways and custom homes where aerials and twilight show the scale of the property in a way ground shots can't. Lake Highlands buyers are often families shopping for parks, trails and the lake nearby, so I make sure the backyard and the neighborhood get their frames.
Then there's the urban side. In Uptown, near McKinney Avenue and the Katy Trail, you're usually selling a condo or townhome and a walkable lifestyle, so I pair clean interiors with views and amenity shots. And south of the river in Bishop Arts and North Oak Cliff, the district's local shops and restaurants are a big part of the pitch for nearby homes. A couple of street-level lifestyle frames go a long way there.

Flying a drone in Dallas
Most of central Dallas sits inside the Dallas–Fort Worth Class B airspace that covers DFW Airport and Love Field. That means every flight needs FAA authorization, and the allowed altitude changes from grid to grid. I'm an FAA Part 107 certified pilot. I check each address and request authorization through LAANC (or FAA DroneZone when needed) before I fly. If an address can't be flown, you'll hear it from me before shoot day.
Packages for Dallas listings
Most Dallas agents book Silver (from $275). It adds drone photos, which help in neighborhoods where the lot, the lake or the skyline is part of the story. For bigger homes in Preston Hollow or Lakewood, Gold (from $450) adds a cinematic video on top of that, and it's what I'd point you to for any listing you want to launch on social. Larger homes can step up to Platinum (from $650): everything in Gold, plus a 1-minute video, a 30-second vertical cut for social, and 2 virtual twilight photos. For Preston Hollow estates and other homes over 5,000 sq ft, there's Custom Luxury Photos at $1,500. That covers a real twilight shoot, 40–60 images, 10 aerials, a 60–90 second cinematic video, and a hosted Matterport tour. Smaller condos and rentals do fine with Bronze (from $200). See every package on my Residential Packages page.
Your first order with me includes 5 free aerial stills.
Commercial in Dallas
I also shoot commercial properties across Dallas: office, retail, industrial and multifamily for brokers, landlords and developers. I shoot ground photos, labeled site aerials, video and Matterport for large spaces. See Commercial Real Estate Photography.
Dallas real estate photography FAQs
Do you shoot condos and high-rises in Uptown?
Yes. Condos and townhomes are a big part of Uptown. I'll shoot the unit, the views and any amenities your HOA or building management allows. Drone shots of a high-rise depend on the airspace and the building, so I'll confirm before the shoot what's possible at your address.
Can you fly a drone in Preston Hollow, Lakewood or the M Streets?
Usually, yes, with FAA authorization. These neighborhoods are inside the DFW Class B airspace, so I request LAANC approval for every address and stay under the approved altitude. If a spot has a very low ceiling, I'll plan the aerials around it and tell you up front.
How fast do I get photos for a Dallas listing?
Photos and floor plans come back the next day. Video takes 24–48 hours, and Matterport tours take 2–3 days. Everything comes as a download link sized for MLS.
Which package is best for an older home in the M Streets or Bishop Arts?
For most of these homes, Silver works well. The front elevation and the street are a big part of the charm, and the aerials show the lot and the neighborhood. If the home has been restored or remodeled, Gold's cinematic video is a good way to show off the details.
Do you shoot commercial properties in Dallas?
Yes. I photograph office, retail, industrial and multifamily properties all over Dallas. See my Commercial Real Estate Photography page, or call me to talk through a project.
