Commercial Real Estate Photography in Dallas–Fort Worth

Retail building on US-75 in Plano, commercial real estate photography by Bywaters Media

Hey, I'm Trey, the owner of Bywaters Media. I photograph commercial properties all over DFW for brokers, landlords, developers and builders: retail centers, office, industrial and IOS, flex, medical, storage, and land.

Commercial work is a different animal from a house listing. You need to show the building, sure, but what really sells a site is context: where the access points are, what's next door, how close it is to the highway, and what the retail around it looks like. That's why most of my commercial jobs include drone work, and why I add labels and outlines right on the images.

What brokers use me for
  • Ground photography of exteriors and interiors, HDR and edited for marketing and print

  • Labeled site aerials with property-line outlines, access points, neighbors and traffic

  • Trade-area aerials that map the retailers and anchors around a site, ready for page one of the OM or flyer

  • Aerial and ground video, with or without call-outs

  • Matterport 3D tours for office, industrial and retail space (Pro3 camera, priced by the square foot)

  • Progress aerials for builders and developers on a weekly or monthly schedule

FAA Part 107, and the airspace homework that comes with it

A lot of DFW sits inside controlled airspace around DFW Airport, Love Field and Addison. I'm an FAA Part 107 certified drone pilot, and I get airspace authorization before every flight that needs it, check for temporary flight restrictions, and plan around wind and light. You get clean, legal aerials without having to think about any of it.

Turnaround that keeps your listing on schedule
  • Photos: next day

  • Video: 24–48 hours

  • Matterport: 2–3 days

One point of contact. I shoot every job.

With me there's no account rep, no rotating crew and no guessing who shows up. I shoot every job myself and I answer my own phone. One of my longest-running clients is a commercial brokerage whose brokers order directly from me for their listings, and the reason they keep ordering is simple: it gets done right and it gets done fast.

Before photography I spent 13 years at Frost Bank and 6 at Cisco, so I know how much a missed deadline costs when a deal is on the line.

Where I work

I'm based in Plano and cover all of Collin County and Dallas County, plus the rest of DFW. That includes the US-75 and Dallas North Tollway corridors, the Legacy area in Plano and Frisco, the 121 and 380 corridors, I-35E / Stemmons and the LBJ corridor in Dallas, and industrial areas across the Metroplex.

Commercial photography FAQs

How fast do I get everything back?

Photos come the next day. Video takes 24–48 hours, and Matterport tours take 2–3 days, so the OM and the listing can go out on schedule.

Can you fly near DFW Airport, Love Field or Addison?

In most cases, yes. A lot of DFW sits inside controlled airspace around those airports. I'm FAA Part 107 certified, I get FAA authorization before any flight that needs it, and I check for temporary flight restrictions. If a site can't be flown, I'll tell you before the shoot.

Can you add property lines, labels and call-outs?

Yes. Outlines, labels and call-outs are done in-house, and I can deliver plain and labeled versions of the same aerial.

What should the tenant or owner do before the shoot?

Lights on, blinds even, parking lot as empty as you can get it, and dumpsters, ladders and boxes out of sight. Let me know about gate codes, access hours or any areas that are off limits.

How does my team book?

Each broker can book online and schedule and pay in one place, or call or text me at 512-619-3178 for a site walk or a quote on a big project.

Also serving

Dallas, Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen, Richardson, Addison, Irving and the rest of DFW.
